Urban College Graduation

The course was designed to build one’s capacity to interpret clinical terms and reflect on clinical concepts while interacting with and working on behalf of a family. The course, taught jointly by a clinician and a writing instructor included hours of writing instruction and journaling. Comprehensive and succinct clinical notes are essential for FP’s and other human service workers as they advocate for benefits and services for families with complex needs and challenges.

The participants earned up to 9 college-credits toward an Associate's degree in Human Services, a Children’s Behavioral Health Worker Certificate from Urban College and a Community Health Worker Certificate from the Department of Public Health.

Both certificates are transferable within the children’s behavioral health field and beyond within the broader health care industry.
